Healing the Highlands: 84 Bn CRPF Bridges Healthcare Gap with Mega Medical Camp in Remote Ramban
RAMBAN | February 20, 2026 :- In a powerful demonstration of its “Service and Loyalty” ethos, the 84 Bn CRPF, under the aegis of the Jammu Sector, brought life-saving healthcare to the doorstep of the remote Palli village today. This day-long medical outreach, part of the force’s specialized Civic Action Programme, was inaugurated by Commandant N. Ranbir Singh in a ceremony attended by Second-in-Command Vikram Singh, Assistant Commandant Roop Ram Meena, and local community elders. Designed to serve those living in the most geographically challenged areas of Ramban, the camp acted as a vital lifeline for over 300 villagers, including elderly women and children, who often face significant barriers to accessing quality medical consultations and diagnostic facilities.
The mission was executed with clinical precision by a specialized medical team featuring Dr. Anu Gorke (SMO/DC) and Dr. Biranmol Singh (MO/AC), supported by a dedicated cadre of paramedics. Beyond standard check-ups, the battalion provided advanced point-of-care diagnostics, including ECG screenings, blood sugar testing, and comprehensive blood analysis, ensuring that chronic conditions were identified and addressed on the spot. To ensure the camp’s impact outlasts the day, the 84 Bn distributed free medicines to all attendees and gifted a fully-equipped First Aid Kit to the local Village Health Worker for emergency use in the community.
Addressing the gathering, Commandant Ranbir Singh emphasized that while the CRPF is the backbone of India’s internal security, its heart remains with the people. He noted that these initiatives are essential for nation-building and fostering an unbreakable bond of trust between the paramilitary force and the local populace. The residents of Palli and surrounding hamlets expressed profound gratitude for the intervention, hailing the 84 Bn for its unwavering commitment to the wellness of Jammu and Kashmir’s farthest reaches. This successful camp stands as a testament to the CRPF’s evolving legacy—not just as guardians of the land, but as stewards of human life.
