Over 50,000 Students Appear for Class 10th Exams Across Jammu; JKBOSE Sets Up 527 Centres

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 17, 2026 — More than 50,000 candidates officially commenced their Class 10th examinations today across the summer zone of the Jammu Division. To ensure the process remained seamless and accessible, the J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) established 527 examination centres, implementing rigorous protocols to maintain the highest standards of academic integrity.

According to an official statement, the first day of the examination concluded smoothly, supported by a large-scale deployment of superintendents and supervisory staff tasked with overseeing the orderly conduct of the tests.To safeguard the transparency of the process, the Board has deployed specialized vigilance squads for random inspections across all venues.

These teams have been directed to enforce strict examination protocols while maintaining a supportive and professional demeanor toward the candidates.

Furthermore, Deputy Superintendents have been given specific instructions to assist students in correctly recording their roll numbers and series on answer scripts to prevent any technical errors.

To eliminate external interference, the Board has also collaborated with district administrations to enforce Section 163 of the BNSS around examination premises, ensuring a secure and quiet environment for all students.
