Udhampur Police Seize ₹30 Lakh Property of Srinagar Drug Peddler Under NDPS Act
UDHAMPUR, February 17, 2026 — Executing a significant crackdown on the narcotics trade, the Udhampur Police has officially attached movable property valued at approximately ₹30 lakhs belonging to a notorious drug peddler from Srinagar.
The accused, identified as Aijaz Ahmad Dar, son of Abdul Rashid Dar and resident of Gulab Bagh, Srinagar, saw his Toyota Innova Crysta (Registration No. JK01AX-8441) seized under Section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Investigations revealed that the premium vehicle was purchased using illicit proceeds derived from the narcotics trade, leading to its attachment as part of the ongoing proceedings in FIR No. 28/2026.
The accused is currently being held in judicial custody at District Jail Udhampur and has a documented history of drug-related offenses, including prior cases registered at Zakoora and Zadibal police stations in 2022 and 2025.
This latest seizure marks a major milestone for the Udhampur Police, bringing their total value of NDPS-related property attachments to ₹2.10 crore for the current year.
Authorities stated that this action serves as a stern warning to those involved in the drug trade, underscoring the department’s unwavering commitment to dismantling the financial networks of narco-smugglers across the region.
