Doda ARTO Suspends Blacklisted Vehicles for Three Months to Bolster Road Safety

DODA, Feb 15, 2026 — In a decisive move to improve road discipline and protect public safety, Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Doda, Kapil Deol, has ordered the immediate three-month suspension of all blacklisted vehicles within the district.

Acting under the directives of Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, the transport department targeted vehicles operating with expired fitness certificates or lacking valid route permits.

According to the official order, affected vehicle owners must utilize this suspension period to renew their fitness documentation, secure legal permits, or formally cancel registration certificates for scrapped vehicles.

The district administration has warned that failure to comply within the ninety-day window will result in the permanent cancellation of registration, vehicle seizure during specialized enforcement drives, and stringent penal action under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, underscoring a zero-tolerance policy toward non-compliant transport operations.
