Doda Police Strengthen Emergency Response; SSP Flags Off New ERSS Dial 112 Vehicles
DODA, Feb 15, 2026 — In a major initiative to bolster public safety and streamline emergency services, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda officially flagged off six Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) Dial 112 vehicles from the District Police Lines (DPL) today.
Under this new deployment, each police station in the Doda district has been equipped with a dedicated vehicle specifically designed to ensure a swift, effective, and time-bound response to road accidents, civil disputes, crimes, and various distress calls.
By stationing these units strategically, the Doda Police aim to significantly reduce response times and improve on-ground efficiency through trained personnel and advanced communication tools.
During the ceremony, the SSP emphasized the “People First” motto of the department, urging citizens to use the Dial 112 service responsibly for genuine emergencies while warning that prank or false calls could lead to legal action, further reinforcing the district’s commitment to proactive and technology-driven community policing.
