PUNE, Feb 15, 2026 — Commemorating the historic 116th Corps Day of the Corps of Signals, the Chief Signal Officer of the Southern Command led a series of poignant events to honor the legacy and sacrifice of the Indian Army’s communication pioneers.
The celebrations began with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the Southern Command War Memorial, where tributes were paid to the fallen heroes who laid down their lives in the line of duty. Furthering the spirit of service, the Chief Signal Officer visited the Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre (PRC) in Khadki to felicitate soldiers on behalf of Lieutenant General Vivek Dogra, Signal Officer-in-Chief and Colonel Commandant, recognizing their extraordinary resilience and dedication to the nation.
The festivities, which kicked off a day prior, also featured a special outreach by the Southern Star Signallers to honor veterans, reinforcing the deep bonds of camaraderie and gratitude that define the Corps of Signals fraternity.
