Jammu, 22 August 2025: Sanjita Dogra, General Secretary and Headquarters Incharge of the Jammu & Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party, stated that women’s empowerment has been one of the key priorities of the Narendra Modi government.
She highlighted that over the past 11 years, the Modi government has initiated and implemented several effective schemes aimed at uplifting women and improving their socio-economic status.Sanjita Dogra was sharing information about various schemes launched by the Modi government with a group of women at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.She shared with them that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always ensured that women receive equal rights in society.
His government has launched numerous schemes specifically for women, which are helping them become self-reliant and empowered in all spheres of life.Dogra elaborated that under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, financial assistance is provided to pregnant women upon the birth of their first child. This scheme has benefited millions of women, leading to improved health outcomes and encouraging them to prioritize prenatal care.She mentioned that the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign, aims to improve the gender ratio and promote education for girls. This initiative is proving to be a revolutionary step toward women’s empowerment.
Under the Ujjwala Yojana, women living below the poverty line are provided with free gas connections, enabling them to use clean and safe fuel. This has significantly improved their quality of life.Through the Mudra Yojana, women are starting their own businesses and moving toward financial independence.Dogra further said that the Modi government has constructed toilets for women under the Swachh Bharat Mission, providing access to sanitation in public spaces. This has improved both safety and health for women, allowing them to go out without fear or discomfort.
As a result, their lives and working environments have become safer and more conducive.She said that it is a matter of pride that, due to the efforts of the Modi government, women are becoming aware of their rights and becoming self-reliant. The government is not only promoting women’s empowerment but also moving toward building an equal and prosperous society, Dogra said.
