JPDCL Announces Power Shutdown Schedule for Jammu and Batote Regions

JAMMU (February 14, 2026): The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled maintenance works that will lead to temporary power outages in various parts of the Jammu and Batote circles.

Chief Engineer (Distribution) JPDCL Jammu confirmed that residents of Jakh and its surrounding areas should prepare for a power interruption on February 16, scheduled from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Additionally, a significant rescheduling has been announced for the 33/11 KV Receiving Station BB-I and the 31.5 MVA Receiving Station (PTR). Originally planned for February 16, this shutdown has been moved forward to February 15, with electricity supply expected to be affected from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM to facilitate essential grid station maintenance.

Parallelly, the Superintending Engineer of O&M Circle-III, JPDCL Batote, has notified consumers of upcoming outages in the hilly terrains. The power supply to Ramsoo, Changloo, Neel, and adjacent localities will be suspended on both February 16 and February 18.

During these two days, the shutdown will be in effect from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Residents and business owners in the affected zones are advised to complete their electricity-dependent tasks ahead of time to minimize inconvenience during these essential technical upgrades.
