DG NCC and Cadets Meet Nepal Army Chief to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

KATHMANDU, February 13, 2026 – In a significant move to bolster cross-border relations, Lt Gen Virendra Vats, Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), accompanied by a delegation of Indian NCC cadets, paid a formal courtesy call on the Chief of Army Staff of the Nepal Army.

This high-level interaction took place under the framework of the ongoing India–Nepal Youth Exchange Programme, serving as a platform to celebrate the deep-rooted connections between the two neighbors.The meeting went beyond mere protocol, actively reaffirming the enduring cultural, military, and people-to-people ties that form the bedrock of the India-Nepal relationship.
