VADODARA, February 12, 2026 — Advancing the Indian Army’s strategic “Decade of Transformation,” Lieutenant General DS Kushwah, PVSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the MG & G Area, conducted a high-level review of the EME School at Vadodara Military Station.
The visit focused on evaluating the institution’s training ecosystem and the integration of cutting-edge technological advancements essential for modern warfare.During the visit, Lt Gen Kushwah was briefed on pivotal initiatives centered on innovation and indigenisation, reflecting the Army’s commitment to self-reliance in technical training.
The GOC inspected state-of-the-art infrastructure and was apprised of contemporary methodologies used to train personnel on new-generation armament, advanced small arms, optoelectronic systems, and complex military vehicles.
These upgrades are designed to ensure that the technical support for the Army’s hardware remains robust and future-proof.Concluding his review, the General Officer commended the EME School for its proactive technology infusion and its excellence across niche technical domains.
He lauded the institution’s vital role in producing technically proficient and future-ready soldiers, emphasizing that such expertise is the backbone of a modern, efficient fighting force.
