Jammu Power Shutdown Alert: JPDCL Announces Maintenance Cuts for Kishtwar, Reasi, and Doda Districts
JAMMU, Feb 05, 2026 – The Chief Engineer (Distribution) of the Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has notified consumers of scheduled power shutdowns across several districts to facilitate essential maintenance and repair work.
Residents in the Chenab Valley and Reasi regions are advised to plan accordingly, as electricity supply will be suspended during specific windows over the coming days.
According to the official communique, the power supply to Thathri, Bhatyas, Gandoh, Changa, Kilhotran, and surrounding habitations will remain affected on February 6 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This interruption is necessary for technical up-gradation within the local distribution network.
Further outages are scheduled for later in the week. On February 8, the power supply to the entire Kishtwar District and parts of Khellani will be suspended from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On the same day, residents in Reasi, Dharmari, Pouni Gran, and adjoining areas will experience a shutdown from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
JPDCL officials have urged the public to cooperate during these maintenance periods, which are designed to ensure the long-term reliability of the power grid.
