MEERUT, February 5, 2026 — In a significant boost to troop welfare and infrastructure, Lt Gen DG Misra, AVSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Uttar Bharat, visited the Headquarters of the Pashchim UP Sub Area in Meerut on February 4.
During the visit, the GOC conducted a comprehensive review of the formation’s operational and administrative preparedness, ensuring that the strategic hub remains mission-ready. His visit underscored the military’s ongoing commitment to maintaining high standards of readiness while modernizing the essential facilities that support the force.
A key highlight of the visit was the inauguration of 294 newly constructed dwelling units at Parameswaran Enclave, dedicated to the soldiers and families stationed at the Meerut Military Station. These modern residential units are designed to enhance the quality of life for service members, providing secure and comfortable homes that reflect the nation’s gratitude for their service.
Lt Gen Misra emphasized that strengthening the well-being of military families is fundamental to maintaining high morale within the ranks. This infrastructure project serves as a testament to the “Service Before Self” ethos, ensuring that those who serve with pride are supported by a foundation of honor and care.
