Two Injured as Car Plunges into Gorge near Peer Baba on Reasi-Katra Road

REASI | January 27, 2026 — A serious road accident occurred today on the Reasi-Katra stretch near Simbal Choa, leaving two individuals injured after their vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge.

The incident took place specifically near the Peer Baba site, a well-known landmark on the mountainous route.The vehicle involved, identified by registration number JK14J-3017, reportedly lost control before falling several feet into the ravine.

Upon hearing the crash, local residents rushed to the spot to initiate a rescue operation alongside the J&K Police.

The two occupants of the car were successfully pulled from the wreckage and immediately evacuated to the District Hospital Reasi for emergency medical treatment.
