LG Manoj Sinha Issues Republic Day 2026 Message: A Tribute to Valor and a Vision for a Modern J&K
Srinagar | January 25, 2026 — On the eve of India’s 77th Republic Day, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha extended his warmest greetings to the people of Jammu & Kashmir, celebrating the region’s resilience and its strategic role in the nation’s progress.
In a powerful address, the LG paid homage to the visionary architects of the Indian Constitution, emphasizing that the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity remain the bedrock of the Union Territory’s democratic ethos.
He saluted the collective efforts of the workforce—from farmers and doctors to students and entrepreneurs—noting that their tireless dedication is the driving force behind the region’s holistic growth.
A significant portion of the Governor’s message was dedicated to the security forces and the evolving national security doctrine. LG Sinha offered a special commendation to the Indian Army, J&K Police, and CRPF for their decisive actions in “Operation Sindoor” and “Operation Mahadev.”
Describing Operation Sindoor as a turning point in India’s strategic resolve following the Pahalgam terror attack, he remarked that the operation sent an unequivocal message: any attack on Indian soil is an act of war. He further lauded the J&K Police for their intelligence triumphs in late 2025, which dismantled a nationwide terror network and averted multiple planned strikes, hailing the personnel as the country’s “true heroes.
“Looking toward the future, LG Sinha outlined a roadmap for a “future-ready” Jammu & Kashmir centered on a knowledge-based economy and technological proficiency. He urged institutions of higher education to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, ensuring that youth and women have equitable access to quality education and healthcare.
Concluding his message with a call for selflessness and civic responsibility, the Lieutenant Governor reaffirmed the UT’s commitment to contributing to a strong, prosperous, and developed India, urging every citizen to work for the greater good of society.
