Bandipora January 24,2026:- Shoib Rehmat, a resident of the Bandipora area, was travelling through the Nowpura region when his vehicle No. JK 01 BB 9101 (Bolero) which skidded off the road due to adverse conditions .
The incident occurred abruptly due to black snow on the road.Exercising presence of mind, Shoib Rehmat sought assistance from Bandipora Army Camp with the help of local residents.
Responding with commendable speed, Indian Army personnel immediately mobilised to the site along with recovery assets and initiated a carefully coordinated recovery operation.The soldiers ensured the safety of the individual and successfully recovered the vehicle by employing standard recovery drills and safety measures.
The prompt and professional response averted any loss of life or further damage.Shoib Rehmat expressed sincere gratitude to the Indian Army for their swift action, professionalism and humanitarian assistance.
The incident once again underscores the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of civilians and its readiness to extend support during emergencies.
