LG Manoj Sinha Celebrates Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day, Hails State as India’s Cultural Heartland
JAMMU | JANUARY 24, 2026 – Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha presided over a grand celebration of Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day at the Lok Bhavan in Jammu today, extending his heartfelt greetings to the people of the state.
Addressing a diverse gathering that included Hathras MP Anoop Pradhan, senior officials, and residents of Uttar Pradesh living in Jammu and Kashmir, the Lieutenant Governor described the state as the “wellspring of India’s cultural consciousness” and the cradle of the nation’s most sacred scriptures, including the Vedas, Ramayana, and Mahabharata. He paid rich tributes to the luminaries and freedom fighters from the region, noting that Uttar Pradesh serves as a vital spiritual core that binds India together from north to south and east to west.
Reflecting on the state’s profound spiritual heritage, the Lieutenant Governor emphasized that the ancient wisdom born at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati offers essential guidance for the modern world, particularly the teaching that the ultimate quest is the journey to understand oneself.
