Pulwama District Police Lines Hosts Full Dress Rehearsal for Republic Day 2026
PULWAMA, J&K | JANUARY 24, 2026 – In preparation for the upcoming national celebrations, a comprehensive full dress rehearsal for Republic Day 2026 was successfully conducted today at the District Police Lines (DPL) in Pulwama.
The ceremony featured the unfurling of the National Flag by Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohd Ashraf Sheikh, who was accompanied by Additional Superintendent of Police Mohd Shafat Najar to inspect the parade and take the salute during the march-past.
Commanded by DySP (Prob) Waseem Ahmad Khan, the rehearsal showcased the discipline and preparedness of well-coordinated contingents from the Jammu & Kashmir Police (JKP), JKAP, CRPF, Home Guards, Fire & Emergency Services, and Youth Services & Sports.
The event, which drew a large crowd of local civilians, was further highlighted by vibrant cultural performances from local artists, signaling a high level of readiness and public enthusiasm for the main event on January 26.
