Budgam Sports Stadium Hosts Full Dress Rehearsal for 77th Republic Day Celebrations

BUDGAM, J&K | JANUARY 24, 2026 – In anticipation of the 77th Republic Day, a grand full-dress rehearsal parade was successfully conducted today at the Sports Stadium in Budgam.

The ceremony was led by Additional Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Mehraj-ud-Din, who, accompanied by Additional Superintendent of Police Budgam, Sajjad Bukhari, unfurled the National Flag and inspected the parade contingents.

During his address, the ADC emphasized the historical significance of Republic Day and shared insights into various developmental projects currently underway for the welfare of the district’s residents.

The march-past, commanded by Ishaan Aziz, DySP PC Chadoora, with Sub-Inspector Tanveer Ahmad Khan as Second-in-Command, featured a disciplined display by contingents from the CRPF, J&K Police, J&K Armed Police, J&K Police Women Wing, Home Guards, and NCC, alongside students from local schools.

Several high-ranking officials attended the event, including Chief Education Officer Budgam Riffat Qadri, DySP Headquarters Sajad Ahmad, and DySP DAR DPL Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din, alongside other representatives from the civil and police administration.
