Samba Police Arrest Hardcore Criminal in Organized Crime Case; Country-Made Pistol Recovered

SAMBA, January 10 2026 :- In a significant breakthrough against organized crime, the Samba Police have arrested a notorious criminal and recovered a country-made pistol, marking the fourth arrest in a major ongoing investigation.

The accused, identified as Pritam Singh, alias Sethi, a resident of Jedra in Ramgarh, was apprehended by a specialized team from the Vijaypur Police Station.

Following intense questioning, the suspect led officers to his native village, where the weapon was found hidden.

This arrest is part of a broader crackdown under FIR No. 71/2025, involving charges under Section 111 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act.

This latest recovery brings the total number of firearms seized in this specific case to four. Prior to the arrest of Pritam Singh, the Vijaypur Police had already taken three other suspects into custody and recovered three pistols from their possession.

Authorities believe these individuals are part of a larger organized criminal network operating within the district.

With the investigation still active, security agencies are working to uncover further links and potential future plots involving this group, reaffirming the police department’s commitment to dismantling gangs and ensuring public safety across the Samba region.
