JK Dy CM Slams BJP Over NMC withdrew Letter of Permission of SMVDMC
KATHUA, January 07, 2026 : Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary addressed the media in Kathua and launched a sharp critique against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding the de-recognition of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi College of Nursing and Biomedical Sciences.
Expressing strong resentment over the institution’s setback, Choudhary stated that the BJP should be observing a “Black Day” rather than celebrating, as the loss of such a prestigious medical institution is a major blow to the region’s education and healthcare sectors.
The Deputy Chief Minister further noted that the administration is deeply concerned about the future of the students and the status of medical education in the Union Territory.
He accused the opposition of failing to protect vital local institutions during their tenure and reaffirmed the current government’s commitment to resolving administrative hurdles that hinder the growth of essential services in Jammu and Kashmir.
