BARAMULLA, Jan 6: Authorities in North Kashmir are investigating the discovery of a man’s body found under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday morning in the Delina area of Baramulla district. The deceased, identified as a local resident of Ratherpora Delina, was discovered by passersby near the Masjid at Ratherpora, sparking immediate concern in the locality.
Upon being alerted to the situation, a police team arrived at the scene to take custody of the body. Officials confirmed that the remains have been moved for the necessary medico-legal formalities to determine the exact cause of death. While the identity of the man has been established as a resident of the same neighborhood where he was found, the events leading up to his passing remain unclear.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police have officially registered a case regarding the incident. A formal investigation is now in progress to ascertain whether the death was due to natural causes or involved foul play.
