BARAMULLA, DECEMBER 25, 2025: Baramulla Police have taken formal cognizance of a disturbing video circulating on social media platforms that depicts an individual physically assaulting an elderly man, reportedly his own father. Upon identifying the location and the parties involved, authorities registered a criminal case at the Tangmarg Police Station under the relevant sections of the law.
The accused, identified as Manzoor Ahmed, a resident of Hajibal, Tangmarg, was swiftly tracked down and detained by police officials.A thorough investigation into the circumstances of the assault is currently underway, with police promising strict legal consequences for the perpetrator. In a public statement regarding the incident, the Baramulla Police reaffirmed their zero-tolerance policy toward any form of violence, emphasizing that crimes against senior citizens will be dealt with with the utmost firmness.
