Security forces intensify area domination and secure national highway in Manipur

IMPHAL, May 27, 2026 — Security forces are maintaining a strict vigil across Manipur by conducting continuous search operations and area domination exercises in the fringe and vulnerable areas of various districts.

To ensure the uninterrupted supply of goods, security personnel successfully facilitated the movement of 365 vehicles carrying essential items along National Highway 37. Stringent security measures have been deployed at all vulnerable locations, and dedicated security convoys are being provided along sensitive stretches to guarantee the free and safe movement of transport vehicles.

In tandem with these highway security measures, a total of 114 nakas and checkpoints have been established across different districts of the state, covering both the hill and valley regions.

These checkpoints are being used to monitor transit, prevent illegal activities, and maintain public order. The coordinated efforts highlight the ongoing commitment of the security agencies to stabilize the region and safeguard critical supply lines.
