Scheduled Power Shutdown in Jammu, Kishtwar, and Doda Districts: Check Affected Areas, Dates, and Timings

JAMMU, AUGUST 03 — The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced planned power shutdowns across several localities in Jammu, Kishtwar, and neighboring areas to facilitate essential maintenance and infrastructure upgrades. According to the Executive Engineer, Electrical Division-I, JPDCL Parade, Jammu, power supply around Swastik Lab, Dalpatian Mohalla, DC Office Road, Khatikan Talab, and Shahidi Chowk will be periodically affected on an “as and when required” alternate-day basis from August 04 to August 25, 2026, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Additionally, electricity to the new DTR near Mandir Pandoka Chowk will face intermittent outages from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on August 04, 08, 12, 16, 20, and 24. Residents in Gali No. 2, 3, and 5 near ITI College (Phases I–V), Kailash Nagar (Phases I–II), and near the NHAI Office (Phases I, II, and IV) will also experience scheduled disruptions from August 04 to 25 between 6:00 AM and 11:00 AM on alternate days.

In rural and extended feeder regions, the power supply to Sadi, Nagola, Kral, Sadi Nagola, and Sahnu-III will undergo alternate-day outages from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM during the same August 04–25 timeframe. Furthermore, the Superintending Engineer, O&M Circle JPDCL Kishtwar, confirmed single-day and multi-day outages in adjoining districts; power will be suspended in Bhagwah, Majmi, Gai, Dessa Valley, Prabal, Chabroth, Bari Gabber, Mir Mohalla, and surrounding pockets on August 05 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Areas around Degree College Nagri, Iqbalabad, and Bhattpura will witness shutdowns on August 05 from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM, while Pranoo, Teown, Jagrotha, Sheikhpura, Rewara, Malnai, and adjoining vicinities will face scheduled outages on August 05 and August 06 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Consumers across all affected locations are advised to plan their power usage accordingly.
