Sakeena Itoo holds public darbar in Kulgam announces new development projects

KULGAM, JULY 4, 2026 :- Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education Sakeena Itoo visited Nandimarg in Kulgam district today to hold a public darbar. The outreach event allowed the minister to engage directly with local residents, listen to their developmental concerns, and review public grievances. During the interaction, community members raised several demands for local infrastructure and public services requiring immediate administrative attention.

Responding to the public, Itoo assured the gathering that all genuine developmental demands would be addressed in a phased and time-bound manner. She emphasized that the current administration remains fully committed to ensuring inclusive and equitable development across all regions. According to the minister, public outreach programs and direct interactions are central to the government’s approach to delivering responsive, transparent, and accountable governance.

During the visit, Itoo laid the foundation stone for the LungKhull to Bakhtawar Mohalla road project, which is expected to significantly enhance connectivity and boost socio-economic development in Nandimarg and its adjoining areas. She also announced several new developmental projects for Nandimarg and neighboring villages, while directing concerned departments to work in close coordination to ensure the timely completion of all ongoing works.
