Reasi Police Arrest Sukhcha Masjid Suspect: Strict Action Taken and Appeal for Peace Issued
REASI, JULY 04, 2026 — In a swift operation aimed at preserving law and order, the Reasi Police have successfully apprehended the prime suspect involved in the recent Sukhcha Masjid incident.
Operating under the direct supervision of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Reasi, a dedicated police team led by the SDPO Arnas and the SHO of Police Station Arnas tracked down and arrested the accused, identified as Pyar Singh, son of Pritam Singh, a resident of Patian, Tehsil Thuroo, District Reasi.
The suspect has been booked under FIR No. 54/2026 at Police Station Arnas, facing multiple charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Sections 331(6), 352, 115(2), 298, and 351(2). Following the arrest, senior police officials engaged with members of the local public and the Muslim community to assure them that rigorous legal action is being pursued.
