Narcotics Control Bureau Destroys Drugs Worth 236 Crore Rupees in Dehradun

DEHRADUN June 17,2026 — The Narcotics Control Bureau destroyed seized narcotic drugs valued at 236 crore rupees in Dehradun as part of ongoing efforts to achieve a drug-free nation.

The destroyed haul totaled 303 kilograms of narcotics, which included Tramadol tablets, Alprazolam tablets, and charas linked to 11 separate pre-trial and post-trial cases.This large-scale disposal highlights the intensified operations by the central agency to disrupt drug trafficking networks and block the recirculation of illicit substances into society.

To further strengthen public cooperation, the department has urged citizens to report any narcotics-related activities through the toll-free MANAS helpline at 1933, ensuring that the identities of all informers will remain strictly confidential.
