Historic Bhairav Yatra Added to India Intangible Cultural Heritage List

JAMMU, JULY 15 — The historic Bhairav Yatra of Rajouri has been officially included in the National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage of India.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha extended his congratulations to the Rajouri District Administration and the Jammu and Kashmir Department of Culture for achieving this significant milestone.

Sinha highlighted the inclusion as a proud moment for the region, noting that the prestigious recognition will play a vital role in documenting, preserving, and celebrating the deep spiritual and cultural roots of Rajouri. He stated that the national honor validates the dedication of generations of devotees who have kept the tradition alive over the years.

The inclusion of the Bhairav Yatra in the national inventory is expected to significantly strengthen the unique cultural footprint of Rajouri on a national scale.
