Drone Warfare India: Fire & Fury Corps Tests UAV Proficiency in Ladakh High-Altitude Drills

LEH, LADAKH — On July 11, 2026, the Indian Army’s Fire & Fury Corps successfully conducted a high-stakes Inter Formation Drone Proficiency Competition in the challenging, high-altitude terrain of Ladakh.

Designed to simulate realistic operational conditions, the drills highlighted the military’s rapidly advancing capabilities in unmanned aerial systems (UAS). Participating teams demonstrated exceptional mastery over specialized Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) fixed-wing drones and quadcopters, executing complex surveillance, reconnaissance, and tactical operational missions.
