BHOPAL, June 29, 2026 — The Central Industrial Security Force at Airport Security Group Bhopal paid a solemn final tribute to retired K9 handler Monty, a loyal Labrador Retriever who served the nation with dedication.
Born on August 27, 2012, the canine tracker dedicated his finest years to maintaining security and public safety before officially retiring from active duty on December 20, 2022. A dignified wreath-laying ceremony was organized at the CISF Unit Lines to honor his memory, drawing attendance from senior security personnel and officials from the Airports Authority of India.
The ceremonial send-off included final rites performed with full honors, reflecting the deep bond and mutual respect shared between the security forces and their specialized canine units.
Throughout his active tenure, the highly trained Labrador played a critical role in security operations, symbolising the commitment of the silent guardians who protect vital national infrastructure.
Though his watch has officially ended, the legacy of service, loyalty, and vigilance demonstrated by the canine veteran remains a point of deep pride and inspiration for the personnel at the Bhopal station.
