Kupwara 18 December :-In a major move to curb activities threatening national security, the Kupwara Police have officially attached a two-storey residential building belonging to an accused individual involved in a high-profile terror-related case.
The property, located at Marsari Chowkibal, belongs to Wali Mohd Mir, who is currently under investigation in connection with FIR No. 53/2025. The case, registered at Police Station Kralpora, includes serious charges under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and the Arms Act, specifically focusing on the illegal possession of weapons and active support for unlawful associations.
The enforcement action was executed on December 18, 2025, following a formal order from the Police Headquarters (PHQ) and received the mandatory approval of the Director General of Police (DGP), J&K. This attachment serves as a stern warning to those providing logistical or financial support to terror networks.
By targeting the immovable assets of the accused, the Jammu and Kashmir Police continue to demonstrate their resolve to dismantle the infrastructure of militancy. The proceedings were carried out in strict adherence to legal protocols, ensuring that the proceeds and properties linked to unlawful activities are effectively neutralized.
