Operation Sindoor Proves India’s High-Impact Precision Strike Capability, Says Rajnath Singh

New Delhi, December 18, 2025 — Addressing the Air Force Commanders’ Conclave today, Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh hailed the Indian Air Force (IAF) as a technologically advanced and strategically confident force, citing the success of Operation Sindoor as a benchmark for India’s high-impact, short-duration operational capabilities. He praised the air warriors for the speed and precision used to neutralize terror camps and manage subsequent escalations with “strategic confidence.” Singh noted that the public’s calm during these operations reflects a deep-rooted trust in the nation’s air defense preparedness, urging commanders to institutionalize lessons from Operation Sindoor to maintain a decisive edge over adversaries.

The Raksha Mantri emphasized that 21st-century warfare has shifted from a mere clash of weapons to a “war of ideas, technology, and adaptability.” Citing global conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza alongside India’s own Balakot and Sindoor missions, he identified air power as the ultimate strategic instrument for delivering clear messages to adversaries through speed, reach, and precision. To stay ahead, the government is prioritizing the “trinity of technology, strategic vision, and adaptability,” focusing heavily on Artificial Intelligence, cyber warfare, and space-enabled capabilities to redefine modern combat.

In a push for Aatmanirbharta (Self-Reliance), Singh announced that the development of indigenous jet engines has become a primary national mission. He highlighted the success of the iDEX and ADITI initiatives, noting that as of November 2025, hundreds of startups and MSMEs are actively solving defense challenges, including 96 winners specifically focused on IAF requirements. He also expressed immense confidence in Sudarshan Chakra, a defense system previously announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating it will be pivotal in protecting national assets.

Concluding his address, Rajnath Singh underscored that Tri-service synergy is no longer optional but essential for modern security. He lauded Operation Sindoor as a prime example of seamless jointness between the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Beyond combat, he commended the IAF’s role in Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) missions, noting that their ability to operate in extreme conditions has solidified their reputation as a “future-oriented force” dedicated to safeguarding both national interests and humanity.
