Absconder arrested evading arrest since long
Jammu,14 December :-Jammu Police today achieved a significant success with the arrest of a long-absconding and notorious accused wanted in a criminal case registered at Police Station City.The arrested accused has been identified as Mohd Ayaz @ Shantoo, S/o Mohd Iqbal, R/o House No. 160, Gujjar Nagar, Jammu.
He is a known associate of the Royal Singh Gang and was wanted in FIR No. 06/2025 under Sections 109 and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, registered at Police Station City.
The accused had been evading arrest for the past about 11 months.Acting on specific and credible inputs, a police team from Police Post Residency Road, led by SI Aaqib Lateef under the supervision of SHO Police Station City, Inspector Shakti Devi, conducted a swift operation and successfully apprehended the accused from Hotel City Light, Jewel area, Jammu.
