Udhampur 15th August :- On the eve of India’s 79th Independence Day, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai (IAS), felicitated Dr. Ronak Sharma, RMNCH+A Consultant with an Award of Appreciation for her outstanding contribution towards improving the quality of healthcare services in the district.

One of Dr. Sharma’s remarkable achievements has been her pivotal role in guiding, monitoring, and mentoring health facilities for NQAS (National Quality Assurance Standards) Certification. As per the Minutes of Meeting (MoM) and the target set by the Mission Director, NHM, for the first half of 2025, the district was required to achieve NQAS State Certification for 22 health facilities.
Under her technical guidance and dedicated follow-up, 24 health institutions of District Udhampur successfully achieved NQAS State Certification, resulting in 109% target achievement—placing Udhampur at 1st position in the entire Union Territory of J&K.
In addition to this exceptional milestone, the district has applied for National Certification for these facilities, while 5 health facilities are already Nationally Certified under NQAS.
Dr. Ronak Sharma’s with her NQAS team tireless efforts, attention to quality parameters, and commitment to capacity building have not only brought laurels to District Udhampur but also set a benchmark for excellence in healthcare delivery across the UT.
