Udhampur 10 October :- Police team of PP Tikri led by its ICPP while performing routine naka at Tikri naka point intercepted one Tata Yodha vehicle bearing registration No. JK14J/1578 which was coming from Jammu side towards Udhampur. On being stopped, the driver disclosed his identity as Mohd.Younis S/o Mohd. Bhutoo, R/O Karwa, Kotli Maitrian, Tehsil Katra, District Reasi.
During further checking the said vehicle was found loaded with 06 bovine animals being transported illegally without any valid permission. All the bovines were rescued safely and the vehicle was seized on the spot.
In this regard, a Case FIR No. 162/2025 U/S 223 BNS & 11 PCA Act has been registered at PS Rehambal.
