Udhampur,01 October: On 27th September 2025, Police Station Rehambal registered an FIR No. 150/2025 U/S 305(d), 331(4) BNS on the complaint of Sunil Sharma (Pujari) S/o Munshi Ram, R/o Sunari, Hartaryan, regarding theft in Kalka Mata Mandir, Barshani by some unknown persons.
During the course of investigation, swift action was taken by Udhampur Police and one accused person namely Mohd Aslam S/o Beer Mohd R/o Basti Garah, Hiranagar, Kathua was arrested.On sustained questioning, the accused disclosed that he along with his associate Showkat Ali S/o Mohd Iqbal R/o Pul Doda, Gadso, Doda committed the theft at Kalka Mata Mandir, Barshani during the intervening night of 27th September 2025.
On his disclosure, the stolen cash has been recovered.The second accused is still at large and efforts are on to nab him.
