Kathua, September 27: As part of Seva Pakhwada, an event of Udyam Yuva Fest was today organized at Government Polytechnic College, Kathua. The programme was inaugurated by Additional District Development Commissioner Kathua, Surinder Mohan Sharma.
The inaugural session began with a welcome address by Deputy Director Employment, DE&CC Kathua, Harvinder Singh. Addressing the gathering, the ADDC highlighted the significance of Mission YUVA in empowering youth through skill development, self-employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
He urged the students to take full advantage of the Mission YUVA App and schemes to equip themselves for a brighter future. He further emphasized that such initiatives are aimed at channelizing the energy of youth towards nation building while providing them with the necessary guidance, training and support.
Other dignitaries also spoke on the occasion and apprised the students about the features, benefits and handholding support extended under Mission YUVA.A large number of students from Government Polytechnic College and other institutions of the district participated in Quiz, Painting, Essay and Speech competitions.
Patriotic songs, group songs and Nukkad Natak were also presented by the students.The ADDC distributed certificates among the winners of various competitions and encouraged them to continue participating in such constructive activities.The event concluded with the collective Mission YUVA Pledge and a vote of thanks to the chief guest, dignitaries, participants and the staff of the Employment Office Kathua.
