CRPF battalion organizes blood donation camp at Ramban district hospital on World Blood Donor Day
RAMBAN, JUNE 14 — On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, the 84 Battalion CRPF Ramban, in collaboration with District Hospital Ramban, organized a voluntary blood donation camp at the hospital blood bank.
The initiative saw active participation from security forces, with more than ten CRPF personnel and a BSF Inspector voluntarily donating blood during the drive to support local healthcare services.
The program was attended by senior officers including Commandant N Ranbir Singh, Second-in-Command Vikram Singh, Senior Medical Officer Deputy Commandant J Anantha Krishnan, Assistant Commandant Shree Ram Meena, and nearly 50 CRPF personnel.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commandant stated that the camp was organized under the theme of saving lives through voluntary donation, and he appealed to the public, particularly healthy young individuals, to make blood donation a regular practice to help maintain an adequate supply for patients.
The Commandant highlighted the positive health and emotional benefits of voluntary donation and assured that the battalion would readily extend immediate support whenever patients in the district require blood.
The entire camp was successfully conducted under the supervision of Medical Superintendent Mohd Rafi and Consultant Pathologist Parvez Katoch, alongside other medical officials from the district hospital.
