Bharatiya Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Nainsu, today dispatched essential relief materials to families severely affected by recent natural disasters

Udhampur 26 September :- Sant Ishwar Bharatiya Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Nainsu, today dispatched essential relief materials to families severely affected by recent natural disasters. For the past week, the school community had been engaged in a dedicated collection drive, with students, parents, and teachers contributing wholeheartedly. With compassion and a strong sense of service, they donated rice, flour, sugar, salt, turmeric, and other daily necessities, which were carefully packed into ration kits for distribution.

           Over the last two months, relentless rainfall has triggered frequent landslides across several regions, leading to widespread destruction. Many families have lost their homes and are struggling without adequate food or shelter. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Sant Ishwar Bharatiya Vidya Mandir stepped forward to provide timely support.

The relief consignment prepared by the school contained ration kits sufficient to sustain nearly 75 households. In addition to food supplies, blankets were also included to help families cope with the approaching winter season.

The flagging-off ceremony for the relief vehicles was graced by several esteemed dignitaries, including:Mam Chand Mittal , District President, BVM Udhampur,Shiv Kumar Sharma , President, SMC BVM Nainsu, Ashok Kumar , District Commissioner, Scouts & Guides, Udhampur,Nek Ram Sharma , Mantri, BSS Jammu, Mulkh Raj Sharma , Member, SMC ,Parveen ji, Member, SMC, Renu Sharma ji, Principal, BVM Nainsu,Umesh Shan , ACR, Udhampur, Sham Lal , Rahul kumar and Sudarshan  Goswami Mandir Committee Members.

Along with them, all staff members, enthusiastic students, and members of the School Management Committee also actively participated in this noble initiative. Senior students of Class 12 and teachers personally volunteered to accompany the consignment to ensure that the aid reached the affected families directly.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Renu Sharma expressed heartfelt gratitude to the students, parents, and staff for their generous contributions. She emphasized that such initiatives not only bring immediate relief to victims but also instill in young learners values of empathy, humanity, and social responsibility.

This initiative by  Sant Ishwar Bharatiya Vidya Mandir’s is a reflection of the school commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also values of empathy, service, and community welfare.
