Heroin like substance recovered from a Barbar of Drass

Drass 21 September :- Police station Drass on receiving prior information regarding carrying contraband drugs from Srinagar by one Abdul Satar presently Barbar Shop at main Market Drass.

On this information a naka was established at TCP Minamarg and during checking a Xylo No.JK07-2358 was intercepted by Naka party and said person namely Abdul Satar S/O Maqsood R/O Baniyawala, Gorakhpur, Vasantvihar, Dehradun presently Barber , shop at Lal chowk main Bazar Drass was found seated at front seat of vehicle.

His personal search was carried out in presence of executive Magistrate 1st Class and other independent witnesses whereas from his carry bag inside sock heroin like substance was recovered and on weighing 10 grams which is intermediate quantity was found . In this connection case FIR No. 63/2025 of Police Station Drass U/S 8/21 NDPS Act was registered and investigation was set in motion.

All the legal formalities was done by Inspr. Manzoor Hussain, SHO P/S Drass under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs. Kargil and close guidance of SSP Kargil Shree Raam.R-IPS.District Police, Kargil reassures the community of its firm commitment to eradicate the drug menace from society and seeks public cooperation in sharing information related to drug peddling activities.
