Jammu 17th September :- On 15th September 2025, in the early morning hours, the Police Station Bus Stand received information from SHO Uri regarding the missing of two girls(name withheld),one major and one minor, from Uri.
In this regard, FIR No. 93/2025 under Sections 137/2 and 87 BNS was registered at Police Station Uri.
At the initial stage, during the intervening night of 14/15 September, it was suspected that the girls might have taken a room at one of the hotels near the Bus Stand Jammu.
Accordingly, human surveillance/assets in the area were activated and the entire police staff was briefed about the incident.
As a result of sustained pressure and coordinated ground efforts, by evening at about 1950 hrs, both girls were traced while roaming near Jaydurga Travels by police team led by SHO Bus Stand,Inspector Inder Pal Singh under the supervision of SDPO North City With the active assistance of the Police Partnership Group and alert staff deployed on ground, both girls were successfully located.
Immediately, the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and SHO Uri were informed. With the assistance of lady police staff and CWC officials
