Army Restores Traffic After Tree Blocks Busy Road Amid Heavy Rainfall

SRINAGAR AUGUST 03 ,2026 :- Demonstrating its commitment towards public service and humanitarian assistance, troops of 24 Rashtriya Rifles swiftly restored traffic after a large tree, uprooted due to heavy rainfall and strong winds, blocked a busy road in the area on Monday, disrupting vehicular movement for several hours.
Upon receiving information about the obstruction, Army personnel immediately mobilised to the location and launched a clearance operation. Braving inclement weather, the troops used available resources to cut and remove the fallen tree from the carriageway, ensuring the safe and timely restoration of traffic. Their prompt response enabled stranded commuters to resume their journey without further delay and prevented prolonged disruption on the busy route.
The swift action by the Army was widely appreciated by local residents, commuters and civil authorities, who acknowledged the troops’ professionalism, dedication and readiness to assist the public during emergencies.
