President Droupadi Murmu Launches RAAHI Fare-Free Electric Bus Service to Boost Green Mobility at President’s Estate

NEW DELHI, July 28 — Marking the completion of four years of her presidency, President Droupadi Murmu launched RAAHI (Rashtrapati Bhavan Access And Heritage Interconnector), a fare-free electric bus service designed to promote green and inclusive mobility for the staff and residents of the President’s Estate.

The eco-friendly initiative features a 27-seater wheelchair-accessible bus operated exclusively by women drivers and conductors, establishing an eco-conscious transportation model tailored to serve women, children, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities. By integrating zero-emission transit with operational inclusivity, the program strengthens internal connectivity across the historic estate while advancing sustainable urban transport standards.
