GUWAHATI, July 28 — The Indian Air Force (IAF) continues to demonstrate its rapid response capabilities through ongoing Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations across the flood-ravaged regions of Assam and Nagaland.
Over the past 10 days, IAF helicopter crews operating in treacherous weather conditions have safely rescued and evacuated 458 stranded citizens. Working in close coordination with the Indian Army and local civil authorities, aircrews have also airlifted and delivered more than 9 tonnes of essential relief supplies to isolated communities, ensuring critical assistance reaches those most in need.
