Jammu administration demolishes illegal properties worth three crore rupees linked to drug trafficking
Jammu, July 18, 2026: Joint teams of the District Administration and Jammu Police executed a major demolition drive targeting the assets of drug peddlers across the Jammu and Bishnah tehsils.
The combined operations resulted in the dismantling of several illegal structures built using the proceeds of illicit drug trade, with the cumulative value of the destroyed properties estimated at nearly 3 crore rupees.
In addition to the demolitions, authorities successfully recovered quantities of heroin and illegal weapons from the accused individuals during the operation.The crackdown included the destruction of a significant double-storey structure valued at approximately 1.5 crore rupees located at Ismailpur Kothey in the Bishnah tehsil.
Simultaneously, another joint team targeted the Nikki Tawi area within the Jammu Khas tehsil, where they demolished properties valued at around 1.3 crore rupees belonging to two separate drug peddlers. The enforcement action in Nikki Tawi also resulted in the successful clearance and recovery of illegally encroached land.
