RBI Workshop Highlights Innovation and India’s Financial Future at College of Defence Management
SECUNDERABAD, July 15, 2026 — A one-day Reserve Bank of India (RBI) workshop themed “Navigating Transformation, Innovation & Global Integration: RBI in Shaping India’s Financial Future” was hosted at the College of Defence Management in Secunderabad for the participants of the Higher Defence Management Course (HDMC-22).
R. Karthikeyan and Anshupriya Goswami, Deputy General Managers and Members of Faculty at the RBI Staff College in Chennai, led the participants through four critical segments: Monetary Policy, Forex Market Management, Internationalisation of the Rupee, and Consumer Security in Digital Banking. The sessions delved deeply into how inflation is managed, how interest rates and key policy tools shape the national economy, and how India’s central bank compares with its global counterparts. These collaborative academic engagements reflect the military leadership’s ongoing commitment to broadening its intellectual horizons beyond conventional operational domains, effectively equipping senior officers to better understand and read the vital financial institutions that shape the strategic environment around them.
