CISF Director General reviews security for Amarnath Yatra in Jammu
JAMMU, July 15, 2026 :- Praveer Ranjan, Director General of the Central Industrial Security Force, visited Jammu along with senior officers to review the security arrangements for the ongoing Amarnath Yatra.
The visit included a comprehensive assessment of security measures, medical response mechanisms, fire safety preparedness, facilities, logistics, and inter-agency coordination to ensure the safety, security, and convenience of the pilgrims.
During the tour, the director general inspected the Bhagwati Nagar Base Camp, the Joint Police Control Room, the CCTV Control Room, and the Tawi River Front, where he interacted with deployed personnel and pilgrims to review the security framework on the ground.
The director general emphasized the importance of maintaining operational readiness, continuous vigilance, and seamless coordination among all stakeholder agencies during a high-level security review meeting.
The meeting was attended by senior officers from the Central Armed Police Forces, Jammu and Kashmir Police, Intelligence Bureau, Indian Army, and other stakeholder agencies. Commending the dedication, professionalism, and coordination displayed by the security forces, he expressed confidence in their continued commitment toward ensuring the smooth, safe, and incident-free conduct of the pilgrimage.
