Notorious Drug Peddler Detained Under PIT-NDPS Act by Udhampur Police

UDHAMPUR, July 10, 2026 — In a major breakthrough under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan initiative, the Udhampur Police have apprehended and detained a notorious drug peddler. The individual, identified as Sanjay Kumar, also known as Sanju, son of Krishan Lal and resident of Phalata, Udhampur, was detained under the stringent provisions of the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT-NDPS) Act.

The formal detention order was issued by the competent authority and executed earlier today. Following his arrest, the individual was securely transported and lodged in the District Jail located in Bhaderwah, Doda.
