Delhi Police Crime Branch Apprehends Wanted Attempted Murder Absconder After Intense Manhunt

NEW DELHI, July 10, 2026 — Reaffirming the principle that no fugitive can evade justice indefinitely, the Anti-Gang Squad (AGS) of the Delhi Police Crime Branch has successfully apprehended a wanted criminal. The accused was highly sought after in connection with a high-profile attempt to murder and Arms Act case originally registered at the Najafgarh Police Station in Delhi. The arrest marks the culmination of a relentless, multi-layered operation designed to track down individuals attempting to bypass the legal system.

The absconder had been actively on the run since a firing incident, continuously shifting hideouts across various locations to evade law enforcement agencies. However, the specialized tracking teams successfully closed in on the suspect by deploying a sophisticated combination of persistent technical surveillance, localized human intelligence, and sustained tactical field operations, proving that ultimately, the law catches up.

This highly successful operation was executed by a dedicated team led by Inspector Gulshan Yadav. The field operations were conducted under the direct guidance of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Bhagwati Prasad and executed under the strategic supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sh. Harsh Indora, further reinforcing public safety and the rule of law in the national capital.
