Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Conducts Late-Night Inspection of Shadipora Transit Camp

BANDIPORA, India — July 10, 2026 — In a bid to ensure a seamless experience for pilgrims, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, conducted a comprehensive late-night inspection of the Shadipora Transit Camp. The nocturnal visit was aimed at reviewing the extensive arrangements put in place for the smooth conduct of the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026 (SANJY) and gathering firsthand feedback directly from the yatris regarding the facilities being provided at the camp.

During her extensive tour of the transit camp, the Deputy Commissioner evaluated critical amenities essential for the convenience, safety, and overall well-being of the pilgrims. The thorough assessment covered overnight accommodation, sanitation and cleanliness standards, clean drinking water supply, healthcare services, uninterrupted electricity, robust security arrangements, and efficient traffic management. Following the inspection, DC Chib directed all concerned departments to maintain tight coordination, ensure prompt responses to any emerging requirements, and guarantee uninterrupted essential services throughout the entire Yatra period to facilitate a safe and hassle-free pilgrimage.
